Oplero vs monday.com

monday.com is a work operating system: colourful, highly configurable, and able to become almost anything you are willing to build. Oplero is the opposite bet — a fixed set of ten modules that already know about each other, so an hour, a ticket and an invoice are the same chain rather than three boards you wired together.

Why teams switch

The chain is built, not assembled

On monday.com a quote board, a time column and an invoice board are three things you connect and maintain. In Oplero the quote becomes tasks, the tasks carry the timer, the hours become a timesheet the client approves, and the approved version becomes the invoice — with nothing in between to keep wired up.

One subscription, not three products

monday work management, monday CRM and monday service are priced separately. Oplero's CRM and helpdesk are modules of the same plan, switched on or off from settings.

The timer is not an upgrade

Tracking time on monday.com means the Pro tier. In Oplero the timer runs in the base product, on tasks and on client tickets alike.

From tracked hour to paid invoice

With monday.com

  1. Build the project board and the columns
  2. Add a time column, if you are on a tier that has one
  3. Export the hours or read them off a dashboard
  4. Retype the total into invoicing software
  5. Handle client emails in a separate inbox, or a separate monday product

With Oplero

  1. Track the time on the task or ticket itself
  2. The client approves the timesheet from a link, without an account
  3. One click turns the approved timesheet into an invoice
  4. A forwarded bank notification matches the payment and closes it

When ClickUp or the others make more sense

Your process does not look like anyone else's

This is monday.com's real strength. If what you run is a production pipeline, a recruitment funnel or something else a fixed product will never model, building it on boards is the right answer and Oplero's ten modules will simply not fit.

You need a large integration ecosystem

monday.com connects to a long list of third-party tools and has an app marketplace behind it. Oplero has a REST API and CSV import, and nothing like that catalogue.

You want a mature product with onboarding

monday.com is an established platform with support, training and a stable feature set. Oplero is in beta — free, but still moving.

Moving your data across

monday.com exports boards to CSV and Excel, and Oplero imports both with a preview and an error report. The work is in the mapping rather than the transfer: monday boards are shaped by you, so only you know which column meant what.

  • Decide first which board becomes a project and which becomes a client
  • Clients and projects go in before tasks
  • Create matching custom fields in Oplero before importing
  • Automations must be rebuilt; the rule model is different
  • Boards that modelled something other than project work may have no destination at all

Frequently asked questions

Is Oplero as configurable as monday.com?

No, and it is not trying to be. monday.com lets you build a process from empty boards; Oplero gives you ten modules that already fit together. That is a worse answer for an unusual process and a better one for the ordinary quote-to-invoice chain, because none of the connections are yours to maintain.

How much is Oplero compared to monday.com?

Oplero is free for the whole beta with every module and no user limit, then 1.99 USD per user a month with no tiers. monday.com's Basic starts at 9 EUR per seat a month billed annually and 12 EUR billed monthly, excluding tax, and its free tier covers 2 seats. Its CRM and service products are priced separately (checked 28 July 2026).

Does monday.com do invoicing?

Not natively. You can model an invoice on a board, but there is no document, no payment matching and no client approval step. That chain is what Oplero adds.
